CITY OF SOUTHSIDE
COUNTY OF ETOWAH
STATE OF ALABAMA
The City Council of the City of Southside convened in regular public session at Southside city hall on December 27, 2022. Mayor Dana Snyder called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. with John Hatley leading the prayer.
The following members were present: Mayor Dana Snyder, Council Members; Genny Ball, Keith Clay, Don Steward, and John Hatley. Councilman Joseph Hutchins was absent. With a quorum being present, the meeting was opened for the transaction of business.
Councilman John Hatley led the invocation, and Mayor Snyder led the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America.
The council recessed into a work session at 4:01 pm. Immediately following the work session, the council meeting reconvened at 4:12 p.m.
A proclamation for Edith (Edie) Fortenberry was read by Councilman John Hatley in celebration of her 100th birthday and recognition of service.
Councilwoman Genny Ball made a motion to approve Ordinance 0-010-2022 establishing a Traffic Safety Program in Municipal Court and opening a separate account with Metro bank for the funds of the Traffic Safety Program. A second of a motion was made by Councilman Don Steward. Roll call vote; all ayes. Mayor Dana Snyder declared the motion carried unanimously.
With there being no further business to discuss a motion was made by Councilman Don Steward to adjourn, motion was seconded by Councilman Keith Clay, meeting adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
