RENTAL FEES


Rental Rates Effective January 1, 2026

Resident Rates:

$125.00 4 Hrs. (minimum)
$200.00 6 Hrs.
Each additional hour over the booked contract: $50.00
Add an additional $25.00 for Holiday Rentals

Business/Commercial Rates M-F:

$300.00 4 Hrs. (minimum)
$350.00 6 Hrs.
$75.00 (additional) Use of Kitchen
Each additional hour over the booked contract: $50.00

Holiday & Weekend Business/Commercial Rates:

$100.00/Hr. 4 Hrs. (minimum)
$150.00 (additional) Use of Kitchen

Commercial or Non-Profit Recurring Weekday Event Rates:
$50.00 per hour (no minimum)

Use of the Courtyard is included in these rates

• Any blow-ups will be set up in the outside courtyard.
• A refundable security deposit of $150.00 is required before the facility is considered reserved.
• Rental fee is due no later than fourteen (14) days before the event.
• No-Show or Cancellation within ten (10) days of the event will result in loss of deposit.

Commercial Or Not For Profit Event Rate (Single Event)


$75.00 per hour (no minimum – maximum)
Money raising activities for individual, company, or organization including not for profit organizations must:

1) Must have a current vendor or business license for the City of Southside.
2) Must collect city tax on all sales.
3) Must show proof of gross sales.
4) No deposit required.

Commercial Or Not For Profit Event Rate (On Going Event)


$50.00 per hour (no minimum – maximum)
Money raising activities for individual, company, or organization including not for profit organizations must:

1) Must have a current vendor or business license for the City of Southside.
2) Must collect city tax on all sales.
3) Must show proof of gross sales.
4) No deposit required.

Fundraising activities for both individuals and organizations (excluding non-profit organizations) must:

  • Have a current vendor or business license from the City of Southside
  • Collect City Tax on all eligible sales
  • Provide proof of gross sales

Any returned checks are subject to a $35.00 insufficient funds fee.

Rules and Policies

  1. Renter is responsible for the care of the facility for the duration of their rental.
  2. Renter is responsible for ensuring that their activities are completed during the specified rental agreement hours.
  3. The building is to be cleaned and cleared, with doors locked by 12:00 A, M.
  4. Rental deposit must be paid at the time of reservation for the facility to be reserved on the calendar.
  5. Renter must be at least 18 years of age, and provide a valid, state-issued I.D.
  6. The City of Southside reserves the right to reject any rental it deems inappropriate for the facility.
  7. Renter is responsible for leaving the facility as it was found. (tables and chairs back to their original setup, floors swept, tables wiped down, trash removed from the building and placed in outside containers by the back exit)
  8. Renters who utilize the kitchen are to wash and clean all sinks, the stove, counters, and miscellaneous items used.
  9. Do NOT leave USED personal items in the Community Center (plates, utensils, bowls, cookware)
  10. Decorations, signs, etc., are allowed on walls, except the wall with the City of Southside Seal. Nothing shall be placed on this wall.
  11. No nails, screws, tacks, staples, or any other items that could make holes or punctures shall be used on walls, furniture, or any other items in the facility.
  12. Lighted candles may be used only in wax-catching pieces or containers.
  13. Glitter or confetti may be used inside balloons only. DO NOT pop glitter or confetti balloons inside the facility.
  14. All items belonging to the renter must be removed from the facility immediately after the contracted rental time.
  15. The City of Southside Community Center is available seven (7) days a week, including holidays. (Increased rates apply to holiday rentals)
  16. Renter is responsible for vendors and caterers during the facility rental, to include clean-up and damage to the facility or its contents. If damage repair costs exceed the security deposit, the renter will be billed for additional charges.
  17. NO alcoholic beverages are permitted, unless the renter has applied, and been granted an alcohol permit, and has followed the rules for serving/providing alcoholic beverages.
  18. No running, jumping, or horseplay is allowed inside the building. Any jump houses or blow-up entertainment must be set up in the courtyard.
  19. An adult MUST properly supervise any event involving children.
  20. Do not adjust or attempt to adjust the thermostat. If there is an issue, please address it with the staff representative present.
  21. The City of Southside Community Center is a Tobacco-Free facility by City Ordinance. Any infraction of this Ordinance will result in a fine.
  22. Ten (10) days' notice is required to receive a full refund in the event of cancellation of a reservation. (Two weeks' notice on cancellation of December rentals) Cancellations made within 48 hours of rental events will be subject to forfeiture of deposit.
  23. Returned checks are subject to a $35.00 returned check fee.
  24. No cleats or pets of any kind allowed inside the building. (service animals excluded)
  25. Renter may be subject to additional fees if their event exceeds the contracted rental time.
  26. The party signing the rental agreement must be present for the duration of the rental agreement hours.
  27. After inspection by the City of Southside Parks and Recreation, if the facility is deemed properly cleaned and damage-free, the security deposit will be returned within a reasonable period of time.
