Rental Rates Effective March 1, 2022

Court yard rental with inside community center – additional $50.00

Court yard rental without inside community center - $125.00 per hour

Blow-ups will be setup in outside courtyard. Addition fee of $50.00 required.

Refundable security deposit of $100.00 for reserving room. Rent is due no later than fourteen days before event. No show or cancellation within ten days of event the deposit will not be refunded. Hourly rate for continued use activities (weekly) $50.00 per hour.

Commercial Or Not For Profit Event Rate (Single Event)


$75.00 per hour (no minimum – maximum)
Money raising activities for individual, company, or organization including not for profit organizations must:

1) Must have a current vendor or business license for the City of Southside.
2) Must collect city tax on all sales.
3) Must show proof of gross sales.
4) No deposit required.

Commercial Or Not For Profit Event Rate (On Going Event)


$50.00 per hour (no minimum – maximum)

Rules and Policies

  1. This is the Southside Community Center and you are responsible for the care of the facility, and the carrying out of your program during the hours of your reservation. The building is to be cleaned, and cleared and doors locked by 12:00 PM.
  2. Your rental fee must be paid at the time of the reservation to be reserved on the calendar. You must be at least 18 years of age and must supply a valid state driver’s license.
  3. The City of Southside reserves the right to reject any rental it feels is not appropriate for the facility.
  4. You are responsible for leaving the facility as you found it. Placing tables and chairs back to their original setup, cleaning floors and wiping off tables, taking out all trash, etc. If the kitchen is utilized, wash and clean all sinks, stove, counters and miscellaneous items. Do not leave USED personal items (plates, utensils, bowls, cookware) in the Community Center.
  5. Place all trash in containers outside the back exit.
  6. You are allowed to place any decorations, signs, etc., on walls except the wall with the City of Southside Seal. Nothing shall be placed on this wall. Nothing shall be removed from the walls. No nails, screws, tacks, staples, or anything else that could cause damage will be used on walls, furniture, or anything else on the premises.
  7. Lite candles used only in was catching containers. Glitter or confetti can be used inside balloons only. Do not pop glitter or confetti balloons in the center.
  8. Everything about your function must be removed from the building immediately after the function.
  9. Your group will be restricted to the area that you have reserved.
  10. The Southside Community Center is available seven days a week including holidays. Extra fees will be charged for the rental on a holiday.
  11. You are responsible for the caterers and all clean-up and damage to the facility. If damage exceeds the deposit amount, you will be billed for the additional charges.
  12. No alcoholic beverages are allowed unless you have applied for the alcohol permit and have followed the rules for serving/providing alcoholic beverages.
  13. No running, jumping, or horseplay allowed. Blow-up or jumpy jump entertainment shall be located in the courtyard. An additional fee is required.
  14. All events involving children must be properly supervised by an adult.
  15. Do not adjust the heating and cooling thermostat.
  16. This is a tobacco free building; any infraction of this ordinance will result in a fine.
  17. Ten days’ notice must be given to receive a full refund on a cancellation. Exception is December – two weeks’ notice is required. Cancellations made within 48 hours of event will be subject to deposit being forfeited (exception will be subject to review).
  18. Returned checks will be subject to return check fee of $35.00.
  19. No cleats or pets of any kind allowed in the Community Center with the exception of service animals.
  20. If your event goes longer than your time allowed and paid for, you may be subject to additional rental fees.
  21. The responsible party who signed the rental agreement must be present during the entire event.
  22. After inspection, if the facility is properly cleaned and there is no damage, the security deposit will be returned within a reasonable period of time.
