SOUTHSIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Southside Elementary opened in the fall of 1979 to serve pupils in kindergarten through sixth grade. Southside students had previously attended John S. Jones Elementary in Rainbow City. Overcrowding in the school and growing population in Southside proved the need for an elementary school in this community.

Southside High School is the largest high school in the Etowah County School District. SHS serves over 850 students in grades 9-12 from the Southside and Rainbow City area. Our school proudly offers a variety of educational and extracurricular opportunities for our students.
